The Integration & Test Automation Engineer joins the I&T Automation Engineering team to synthesize and define test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems. This role involves coordinating assembly through system level integration, performing software and hardware development for automated test processes, and developing automated test plans and procedures. The engineer will execute automated tests, analyze results, troubleshoot test stations, and lead root cause efforts. Key technical requirements include proficiency in NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, IBM Rational DOORS, TestRail, MBSE, and the Atlassian Suite. Candidates must possess experience with hardware like Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators. The work focuses on transitioning manual processes to automated ones, specifically addressing Broadband RF/Microwave, Antenna testing, or Electro-Optical Imaging testing for defense technology applications.
Perform software and hardware development for automated test processes.
Develop automated test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
Execute automated tests and analyze the resulting data.
Troubleshoot automated test stations and lead root cause and corrective action efforts.
Deliver technical presentations to communicate test development plans and status to stakeholders.
Support internal and external design reviews to ensure design for testability.
Provide technical guidance and improvements for automated test tools to engineering teams.
Mentor less tenured engineers on the I&T Automation Engineering team.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 6 years of experience; OR Graduate degree with 4 years; OR 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance (requires US Citizenship).
Proficiency in IBM Rational DOORS, TestRail, MBSE, and Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
Advanced competency in NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual).
Experience with at least one specialty: Broadband RF/Microwave and Antenna testing OR Electro-Optical Imaging testing.
Experience with test hardware including Programmable Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and DAQs.
