The Sr. Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer joins the I&T Engineering team to synthesize and define test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems. This role involves coordinating assembly through system level integration, providing technical leadership on design issues, and managing schedules and work estimates as a Control Account Manager. Key responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and requirements traceability while executing verification and validation across components and systems. The engineer will perform root cause analysis, mentor junior staff, and support business development for Submarine and Surface Imaging Systems. Required technical skills include proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS, Test Rail, MBSE, JIRA, and Confluence, alongside experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and fiber optic scope meters to solve broadband RF and antenna testing problems.
Define and synthesize test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems.
Lead integration and test activities from the assembly level through to the system level.
Develop test plans, procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, and test case designs.
Execute component through system level verification and validation while troubleshooting and documenting results.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for identified failures.
Manage schedules, quoting, and estimating for the System Qualification WBS as a Control Account Manager.
Support business development by generating bids of effort, technical volumes, and technical approaches.
Mentor junior engineers and deliver technical presentations to domestic and international customers.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and minimum 6 years of prior Integration/Test experience.
Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance.
Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS, Test Rail, MBSE, and Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence).
Experience with DC Power Supplies, Digital-Meters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Analyzers, and Fiber Optic Scope Meters.
Knowledge of Electro-Optical Imaging testing, Broadband RF/Microwave and Antenna test, and Line of sight testing.
