Integration and Test Lead, Powertrain

What you'll do

• Own all powertrain integration and test activities from initial concept through final production.
• Develop and execute right-sized test plans for powertrain system integration and characterization.
• Lead the integration of electric machines, inverters, gearboxes, battery modules, and high voltage distribution systems.
• Support the development and operation of powertrain surrogates for control tuning and characterization.
• Ensure the safety of integration environments by eliminating hazards related to high voltage and stored energy.
• Implement and maintain configuration control processes for all powertrain integration environments.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ground testing, and flight tests for prototype and production systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in the integration and test of hybrid powertrain systems.
• Extensive knowledge of high voltage electric drive systems including motors, generators, inverters, and power electronics.
• Experience with powertrain dynamometer testing, motor characterization, and gearbox acceptance testing.
• Proficiency in working safely with high voltage systems (400V+), including integration, checkout, and safe discharge procedures.
• Strong test engineering foundation including DAQ setup, sensor selection, and fluency in CAN, Ethernet, and Serial protocols.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia.
