Infrastructure Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Reinforce team responsibilities to ensure focus remains on core priorities despite urgent demands.
• Align priorities with product engineering teams and communicate the impact of priority changes.
• Build relationships with technical and team leads to support delivery and team health.
• Provide clarity on team scope and boundaries to help engineers focus on delivery.
• Enable staff to take ownership of problems and advocate for engineer-led decision-making.
• Conduct candid conversations with teams to calibrate their approach to work.
• Manage the hiring and termination processes for the engineering organization.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of the Overland Park, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO offices.
• Minimum of 5 years in development or infrastructure as an individual contributor, advanced to a high functioning Sr or Staff engineer.
• At least 4 years managing a team or multiple teams in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment.
• 4 years leveraging a framework that fits within the broader agile umbrella, such as scrum, kanban, or Lean.
• Experience within a cloud infrastructure environment.
• Experience hiring and firing employees (preferred).
• Ability to identify and support formative practices for effective engineers and leaders (preferred).
• Skilled at listening to understand views to equip and challenge team members (preferred).
