Infrastructure Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Align priorities with product engineering teams and communicate the impacts of changing requirements.
• Build relationships with technical leads to support delivery and team health.
• Provide clarity on team scope and boundaries to help engineers focus on core tasks.
• Empower staff to take ownership of problems and advocate for engineer-led decision-making.
• Conduct candid conversations with teams to calibrate their approach to work.
• Manage the hiring and firing processes for engineering staff.
• Identify and support formative practices that enable effective engineering and leadership.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years in development or infrastructure as an individual contributor.
• Advanced to a high functioning Senior or Staff engineer level.
• At least 4 years managing a team or multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
• 4 years leveraging a framework within the agile umbrella, such as scrum, kanban, or Lean.
• Experience working within a cloud infrastructure environment.
• Ability to hire and fire personnel.
• Must be able to work remotely within the United States, excluding California.
