What you'll do

  • Write and maintain documentation required for Authority to Operate (ATO) throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to gather information for the ATO process.
  • Create Visio diagrams and document Configuration Management and SDLC processes.
  • Perform, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software Information Assurance problems.
  • Analyze data from Computer Network Defense tools including firewalls, network traffic, and system logs.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and authentication rules across multiple IT functional areas.
  • Brief stakeholders on security matters and develop risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
  • Track and monitor software viruses while evaluating products to enhance operational effectiveness.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a relevant computer-based major.
  • 7+ years of experience in project leadership monitoring networks and resolving security and cybersecurity incidents.
  • 4+ years of experience with the ATO process, FedRAMP, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • 4+ years of experience specifically with past ATO processes in an AWS environment for a large agency.
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Security.
  • Experience documenting security incidents and performing security vulnerability assessments.
  • Solid understanding of NIST Standards, ICAM, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred); AWS Cloud Security certification (preferred).
