The Information Systems Security Manager , Amazon Leo Government joins the Systems, Quality, & Security Engineering team to manage the security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program. This individual contributor role involves developing, designing, and implementing strategies to scale security policies, standards, and directives for systems processing classified information. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing system accreditations through the Risk Management Framework, and driving continuous monitoring. The candidate will configure and monitor classified network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, and switches while utilizing vulnerability scanners and antivirus solutions. Required expertise includes NIST, RMF, FISMA, DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD-503, and JSIG. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, an active TS/SCI clearance, and a current CISSP, GSLC, or CISM certification to ensure robust information system protection.
Own and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NISP and customer requirements.
Develop and maintain security documentation in compliance with DoD standards, including NIST, RMF, and FISMA.
Manage system accreditations and continuous monitoring efforts through the Risk Management Framework.
Create and maintain auditable procedures for media sanitization, reuse, and protection requirements.
Configure and monitor classified network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems.
Perform system administration tasks such as patching, updating, and tuning security controls for federal requirements.
Use vulnerability scanners and antivirus solutions to test systems and drive remediation of identified risks.
Identify and implement opportunities to automate and simplify security processes and mechanisms.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of experience with cybersecurity policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF), including DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD-503, JSIG, or NIST SP 800 series.
Current certification in good standing to satisfy IAM Level III (CISSP, GSLC, or CISM).
5+ years of experience as an ISSO or ISSM supporting classified programs (preferred).
Experience working in Special Access Programs (SAP) (preferred).
Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), including ICD 704, 705, and 503 (preferred).
