JOB TITLE: Identity Provider Operations Engineer The Identity Provider Operations Engineer supports the ongoing operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IAM and federation services within mission-critical environments. Working with cybersecurity teams and network engineers, you will ensure the reliability of authentication platforms to support Zero Trust initiatives. Daily responsibilities include monitoring identity systems, resolving SSO and federation issues, maintaining MFA and password-less authentication, and managing user lifecycle processes. You will apply patches, perform configuration updates, and assist with operational automation. Required technical skills include administering platforms like PingFederate, Okta, or Entra ID using protocols such as SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect. You must also utilize scripting languages like Python, Java, or PowerShell, work with RESTful APIs, and support Active Directory or LDAP integrations. A Top Secret clearance is required.

What you'll do

Monitor identity systems to ensure the reliability and security of authentication platforms.
Troubleshoot SSO, federation, and MFA issues including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC protocols.
Maintain MFA and password-less authentication capabilities for enterprise users.
Support user lifecycle management processes and integrations with Active Directory or LDAP.
Apply security patches and configuration updates to identity platforms.
Develop scripts and automation to improve operational tasks and maintenance activities.
Manage RESTful API integrations for identity platform operations and automation.

What we're looking for

High school diploma or GED.
Top Secret clearance.
Experience administering and maintaining identity platforms like PingFederate, Okta, or Entra ID in enterprise environments.
Experience troubleshooting authentication and federation protocols including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
Experience using scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or Groovy for IAM automation and maintenance.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and supporting integrations with Active Directory or LDAP environments.
Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and operational support of MFA and password-less authentication solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology (preferred).
