ICAM Identity Provider (IdP) Engineer - Enterprise Authentication Services joins a team delivering enterprise-scale Identity, Credential, and Access Management capabilities. The engineer will manage Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services infrastructure, configure federation trust relationships with internal and external partners, and implement solutions using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Federation, and certificate-based authentication. Key responsibilities include managing Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Conditional Access while developing claims rules and attribute mappings. The role requires expertise in Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, and PowerShell scripting. This position addresses the technical challenge of providing secure, high-availability authentication services and advancing Zero Trust Architecture objectives within a complex government defense environment.

What you'll do

  • Manage the design, configuration, and sustainment of enterprise Identity Provider (IdP) services for large-scale user bases.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) infrastructure to support authentication and federation.
  • Configure federation trust relationships with internal and external Identity Providers, Service Providers, and mission partners.
  • Implement and troubleshoot authentication solutions using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Federation, and certificate-based methods.
  • Develop and maintain authentication policies, claims rules, attribute mappings, and token issuance configurations.
  • Support enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and phishing-resistant authentication mechanisms.
  • Monitor and resolve technical issues related to federation, trust, certificates, and tokens.
  • Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and integration guides.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance (interim not allowed).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting IAM, authentication, federation, or ICAM technologies.
  • Experience supporting or implementing Microsoft ADFS in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with SAML, OAuth, OIDC, WS-Federation, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
