What you'll do

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based HPC infrastructure including compute nodes, storage systems, and InfiniBand networking.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage the lifecycle of HPC hardware, operating systems, and core infrastructure components.
  • Perform datacenter activities such as hardware configuration, cabling, component replacement, and system validation.
  • Monitor system health and investigate performance issues to ensure the reliability and security of shared resources.
  • Manage job scheduler operations and troubleshoot compute, storage, and networking issues for HPC users.
  • Install and maintain scientific software, compilers, libraries, and module environments for research workloads.
  • Develop automation scripts and operational documentation to improve the efficiency of HPC operations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, scientific computing, bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting Linux systems in HPC, research computing, or similar technical environments.
  • Experience installing and supporting scientific applications, compilers, libraries, and module systems.
  • Working knowledge of job schedulers such as Slurm and shared compute environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with datacenter best practices, server hardware, and basic networking components (preferred).
