Home Product Systems Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end validation of hardware, software, and machine learning features for Home products.
• Design and execute live test procedures, aggressor searches, and user studies with Data Science teammates.
• Plan and run data collections ranging from small exploratory studies to large statistically powered collections.
• Evaluate end-to-end system performance using telemetry and statistical significance to characterize results.
• Design, document, and run integrated-system tests to evaluate the true customer experience.
• Build automation tools to improve testing abilities and efficiency.
• Manage the operational side of participant studies, including recruitment, consent, and privacy protocols.
• Report regular status updates on tests, projects, and innovation to stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an end-user quality-focused role.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, including test planning, scheduling, and regression.
• Strong programming and scripting skills with hands-on experience in Python or an equivalent language.
• Experience testing products utilizing computer vision, machine learning, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience being accountable for the quality of a technical area and communicating status to cross-functional partners.
• 5 or more years of industry experience in a quality-focused role, preferably in consumer electronics or smart home devices (preferred).
• Strong background in statistical experimental design, hypothesis testing, and data visualization tools like Tableau (preferred).
