Hardware Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Devise and execute tests for complex hardware platforms including silicon photonics.
• Drive process improvements and automation to reduce cycle times in manufacturing test flows.
• Perform hands-on failure analysis to determine root causes of hardware issues.
• Execute system-level unit, integration, and protocol tests to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Track bugs and analyze test data to improve product reliability and performance.
• Participate in design and schematic reviews for upcoming hardware features.
• Resolve complex technical problems by collaborating with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with 1 year of experience.
• Master's degree in a related technical field is acceptable with 0 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience testing, debugging, or troubleshooting electronic or optical hardware.
• Basic knowledge of test and measurement tools and root-cause analysis methods.
• Experience with PCB design/layout tools such as OrCAD or Cadence Allegro (preferred).
• Exposure to fiber optics, photonics, or optical component testing (preferred).
• Familiarity with scripting or data analysis tools like SQL, Python, or JMP (preferred).
• Experience supporting test automation to reduce operator intervention in manufacturing (preferred).
