As a Hardware Engineering Program Manager (HW EPM), you will join the Audio Product Design team to manage the technical development and implementation of electrical designs and components. You will drive day-to-day activities, including planning and executing product prototype builds while leading cross-functional teams of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers. Your role involves managing program features, schedules, budgets, and critical paths while identifying technical risks and mitigation strategies. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Contract Manufacturer partners to coordinate fabrication kickoffs and manage complex system integrations. The role requires expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes like MLB, Flex, SiP, and SMT, and experience with rapid development cycles. You will navigate design review processes and communicate status updates from individual contributors to executive management to ensure timely project delivery.
Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds with cross-functional engineering teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Contract Manufacturer partners regarding build schedules and objectives.
Drive the closure of architecture and technical issues during early project stages.
Establish and manage program features, scheduling, budgets, critical paths, and technology risk areas.
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with impacted teams.
Manage MLB/Flex/SiP releases and fabrication kickoffs to meet established build schedules.
Lead cross-functional communication between internal project teams and external vendors.
Provide status updates on program progress to both individual contributors and executive management.
What we're looking for
Hold a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Have at least 5 years of experience in program management or electrical engineering design of product development.
Possess strong communication, collaboration, organization, presentation, and leadership skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes and electrical engineering fundamentals.
Experience with flex, MLB, SiP, module, and SMT manufacturing is highly desirable.
Ability to manage complex design strategies and deliver products with high aesthetic quality.
Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Reliability, Operations, and Marketing.
Ability to travel internationally to support builds.
