JOB TITLE: Hardware Design Engineer As a Hardware Design Engineer within the Wireless Hardware group, you will drive end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge wireless systems across all products. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of digital and power portions of wireless designs, specifically focusing on system-on-chip designs for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, and NFC technologies. Your daily work involves creating in-product schematics and layouts, defining system interconnects, and validating digital interfaces and power supplies. You will utilize skills in computer system architecture, power distribution networks, and protocol specifications like PCIe, MIPI, I2C, SPI, and UART. Using modern lab equipment such as DSOs, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers, you will solve complex mixed signal problems and collaborate with silicon teams and external chipset vendors to ensure robust connectivity.

What you'll do

Implement in-product schematics and layout for wireless systems.
Design and validate digital interfaces and communication protocols.
Design and validate power supply application circuits, including load step response and stability.
Perform bring-up and characterization of performance and power for new hardware.
Define system interconnects and power supplies with internal hardware and silicon teams.
Develop integration and verification plans with external chipset vendors.
Debug system-level issues using modern lab equipment like DSOs and logic analyzers.
Write basic software routines and test scripts for hardware validation.

What we're looking for

BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Good understanding of protocol specifications for communication interfaces like PCIe, MIPI, I2C, SPI, and UART.
Experience with power supply/power management and power distribution networks.
Hands-on debug experience using modern lab equipment such as DSOs, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers.
5+ years of experience delivering consumer electronic products (preferred).
Experience leading projects from definition to mass production with minimal supervision (preferred).
Experience in writing basic software routines and test scripts (preferred).
