Ground Systems Hardware Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and validate RF hardware and electronics subsystems for TT&C and Gateway terminals.
• Perform CAD functions for new designs and improvements to deployed infrastructure.
• Execute bring-up, hardware integration, and test campaigns for Gateway and TT&C subsystems.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans to ensure performance and reliability requirements are met.
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations on ground station hardware.
• Manage the transition of hardware designs from development through qualification into production and field deployment.
• Create design review documentation, test reports, and engineering change processes.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent engineering science.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of hardware development and CAD experience.
• 5+ years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience is preferred.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
