JOB TITLE: Ground Software Engineer, Space The Ground Software Engineer, Space joins the Space team to own the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting space operations and mission management. What you'll do

Own the architecture and deployment of software solutions for space operations and mission management.
Develop modular capabilities to support DoD and IC customers across the space domain.
Architect the Space C2 system based on the Lattice software platform for orbital and ground systems.
Integrate new space systems with legacy defense infrastructure to unlock modern capabilities.
Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities to a wider customer base.
Create and analyze metrics to facilitate system debugging and performance monitoring.
Triage technical issues, perform root cause analysis on failures, and coordinate next steps.
Partner with end-users to translate operational needs into engineered software features.

What we're looking for

Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
4+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript.
Experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations.
Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight and navigate complex systems.
Clear communication and organizational skills, including the ability to create documentation and training materials.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience with deployment tooling such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm (preferred).
Experience with space ground hardware, simulations, standards, or modular software services (preferred).
