As a Ground Software Engineer, Space, you will join the Space team to own the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting space operations and mission management. What you'll do

Own the architecture and deployment of software solutions for space operations and mission management.
Develop modular capabilities to support DoD and IC customers across the space domain.
Architect the Space C2 system based on the Lattice software platform.
Integrate new space systems with legacy defense infrastructure to unlock modern capabilities.
Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities to a broader customer base.
Create and analyze metrics to facilitate system debugging and performance monitoring.
Triage technical issues, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate necessary next steps.
Partner with end-users to translate operational needs into engineered software features.

What we're looking for

Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
4+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript.
Experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations.
Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight and navigate complex systems.
Clear communication and organizational skills, including the ability to create documentation and training materials.
Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Experience with deployment tooling such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm (preferred).
Experience with space ground hardware, simulations, standards, or modular software services (preferred).
