What you'll do

Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and analysts.
Translate the global Data Science AI strategy into actionable team priorities and delivery plans.
Oversee the design and implementation of machine learning and generative AI/LLM models.
Own global methodology for model management, observability, testing, and deployment.
Ensure the development of scalable data and AI infrastructure to support team deliverables.
Translate customer business requirements into AI-native, data-driven solutions.
Enforce best practices for data quality, security, governance, and responsible AI use.
Implement rigorous testing procedures to validate the accuracy and reliability of all models.

What we're looking for

Hold a Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or an M.S. with 8+ years of research experience.
Possess experience in the Life Sciences industry applying analytics and AI/ML to related data sets.
Have hands-on experience building or deploying LLM-based systems including prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, or fine-tuning.
Demonstrate advanced specialization in data science techniques such as NLP, sentiment analysis, A/B testing, and pattern recognition.
Provide proven leadership of teams consisting of 10+ people.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to explain complex technical solutions to clients and team members.
Have advanced experience with AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks (preferred).
Have experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, vector databases, or data pipeline building (preferred).
