What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using GCP services like Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
  • Build and orchestrate complex data workflows using Cloud Composer and Apache Airflow.
  • Develop and deploy containerized microservices and event-driven data processing jobs using Cloud Run.
  • Design high-performance data models and queries in BigQuery with partitioning and clustering strategies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions for data scientists and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on data engineering best practices.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of overall experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong expertise in BigQuery, including query optimization, schema design, and partitioning/clustering.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow and Cloud Run.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, including data processing libraries like Pandas or PySpark, and solid SQL skills.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and ETL/ELT design patterns.
  • Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, or IAM (preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools, Git-based version control, and Agile/Scrum practices (preferred).
