The GCP DevOps Specialist joins a backend platform team to manage shared orchestration services for a consumer mobile app and its web front ends. In this role, you will own the Google Cloud infrastructure end to end, including projects, Shared VPC networking, load balancers, API gateway ingress, and TLS certificates. You will manage IAM and privileged access, run CI/CD and deployment plumbing for serverless workloads, and build alerting and monitoring in Cloud Monitoring. Key responsibilities include leading security hardening, driving cost optimization, and reviewing infrastructure pull requests. You must possess expertise in GCP Networking, Shared VPC, Cloud Run, Cloud Function, Cloud Build, GKE, GitHub, IAM security, and Terraform. You will solve technical problems related to platform layer production incidents and cross-cutting infrastructure changes.

What you'll do

Own the end-to-end Google Cloud infrastructure including networking, load balancers, and API gateways.
Manage Terraform code to define and maintain all cloud infrastructure components.
Manage IAM roles, service account scoping, and regular access reviews.
Run CI/CD pipelines and deployment plumbing for serverless workloads.
Build alerting and monitoring systems in Cloud Monitoring and investigate production incidents.
Lead security hardening efforts for API keys and secret handling across environments.
Drive cost optimization by identifying and retiring unused cloud resources.
Review infrastructure pull requests and coordinate cross-cutting changes with security and network teams.

What we're looking for

Experience with GCP Networking and Shared VPC.

Experience with GKE and GitHub.
Experience with IAM security.
Experience with Terraform.
