You must possess deep knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems while managing complex requirements like low latency applications, cloud native environments, and automated CI/CD pipelines within a secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop real-time, mission-critical systems using Java.
  • Solve large-scale engineering challenges using technologies like Kafka.
  • Implement AI-driven development practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize software for performance, stability, and security.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs.
  • Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies.
  • Automate processes within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.
  • Establish validation standards for AI-assisted engineering outputs including peer review and automated testing.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Practical cloud native experience and proficiency in Java/Spring, AWS, Terraform, and Kafka (preferred).
