As a Full Stack Java / Typescript / AWS Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Bank- Business Banking team, you will serve as a core technical contributor. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services, agentic workflows, and APIs using Java 21, Spring Boot, and TypeScript. Your daily responsibilities include implementing micro-services architecture with Spring Cloud, containerizing applications on AWS using ECS, EKS, Lambda, and EC2, and managing infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code. You will utilize reactive programming, Kafka, Cassandra, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL while performing load tests with JMeter or Blazemeter. You must drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and 12-factor app principles. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and stable technology products within a cloud-native environment using Jules, Spinnaker, and Splunk.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and agentic workflows using TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot.
Implement micro-services architecture leveraging Spring Cloud for service discovery, configuration, and resilience.
Containerize and deploy applications on AWS using ECS, EKS, Lambda, or EC2.
Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Implement reactive programming paradigms to build high-performance systems.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery speed.
Apply 12-factor app principles and best practices for cloud-native development.
Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter or Blazemeter.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
Frontend experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience implementing micro-services architecture, reactive programming, and 12-factor app principles for cloud-native development.
Experience implementing and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Lambda, S3, and Kafka.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jules, Spinnaker), Splunk, Dynatrace, Cassandra, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and ElastiCache.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use in engineering.
Experience designing and executing performance and load tests using JMeter or Blazemeter.
Experience with Agent2UI, A2A protocol, troubleshooting multi-agent environments, and working with LLMs (preferred).
