JOB TITLE: Full Stack Engineer Lead Java/Angular - Vice President The Investor Services division is seeking a Vice President to serve as a Technology Lead Analyst. In this leadership role, you will oversee the architectural design and implementation of mission-critical application systems while remaining hands-on with development. You will guide a global team of developers, providing mentorship, code reviews, and technical authority to build next-generation applications. Your daily work involves developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, creating dynamic user interfaces with React or Angular, and designing APIs using REST and GraphQL. You will also implement event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. This role solves complex technical problems within the custody, fund accounting, and asset servicing domains to ensure scalable, resilient financial software.

What you'll do

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex, scalable, and resilient full-stack applications.
  • Perform hands-on development using Java, React/Angular, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and work allocation to a team of developers and analysts.
  • Design and implement real-time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka and streaming technologies.
  • Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure cloud-native excellence.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate goals into technical solutions and system enhancements.
  • Assess risk and ensure all application designs comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

What we're looking for

  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience in Applications Development or systems analysis with a proven track record in technical leadership.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java, including experience with frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React or Angular.
  • Proficiency in designing and building APIs using both RESTful services and GraphQL.
  • Proven experience with Apache Kafka for building event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration in a production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree (preferred); prior experience in FinTech or a large financial institution (preferred).
