What you'll do

Develop and maintain capabilities for the mission-critical API Gateway platform.
Implement standards such as OAUTH2, OIDC, gRPC, and Open API 3.0.
Build and manage synchronous and asynchronous APIs for high-volume traffic.
Migrate and deploy next-generation gateways using Kong and cloud-based platforms.
Establish and enforce coding standards and design patterns across engineering teams.
Use observability tools to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
Mentor engineers and drive professional development within technical teams.
Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, or C# (preferred).
3+ years of experience with database and database management systems (preferred).
4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks (preferred).
4+ years of experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs (preferred).
