The Full-stack Engineer 4 (Manager, IC) joins the Risk Tech team to build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology. In this role, you will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create distributed microservices and full-stack systems that meet regulatory needs. You will collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions while providing technical leadership across Agile teams to set standards for design and operational excellence. The technical stack includes Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. You will solve complex business problems by identifying areas for improvement, reducing technical debt, and influencing long-term technology strategy.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions for regulatory needs.
Build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology.
Develop robust cloud-based solutions using Java, Python, Go, and AWS tools to drive customer experiences.
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams to set standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
Identify areas for improvement by implementing targeted refactoring to reduce technical debt and enhance performance.
Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a "you build it, you own it" environment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala (preferred).
3+ years of experience with database and database management systems (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based productivity tools or virtualization technologies (preferred).
4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks (preferred).
