You will build robust cloud-based solutions using Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, establishing standards for design, development, and operational excellence within a distributed microservices environment to optimize experiences for hundreds of active users.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create distributed microservices.
Drive new feature development and platform modernization using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Manage petabytes of data and over a billion daily data points to support marketing, regulatory, and servicing campaigns.
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
Identify areas for improvement and implement targeted refactoring to reduce technical debt and enhance system performance.
Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a "you build it, you own it" environment.
Mentor engineering squad members and drive professional development within the technical community.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala (preferred).
3+ years of experience with database and database management systems (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based productivity tools or virtualization technologies (preferred).
4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks (preferred).
