As a Full-stack Engineer 4 (Manager, IC) within the Risk Tech team, you will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to build proprietary solutions for risk management powered by state-of-the-art AI technology. You will be responsible for developing distributed microservices and full-stack systems to meet regulatory needs while collaborating with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions. The role requires expertise in Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, alongside experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. You will provide technical leadership across Agile teams, define service boundaries with architects, and manage technical debt. This position addresses the critical business problem of using machine learning to automatically detect issues and prevent risks before they impact customers or the organization.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions for regulatory needs.
Develop robust cloud-based solutions using Java, Python, Go, or other modern programming languages.
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
Identify areas for improvement and perform targeted refactoring to reduce technical debt and improve performance.
Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a "you build it, you own it" environment.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and drive professional development within technical teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the specified programming languages (preferred).
3+ years of experience with database and database management systems (preferred).
4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks (preferred).
Experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts or large-scale technical initiatives (preferred).
