The Full-stack Engineer 4 (Manager, IC) joins the Risk Tech team to build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology. Working with the GRC team, you will lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create distributed microservices and full stack systems that meet regulatory needs. Your daily responsibilities include providing technical leadership across Agile teams, setting design standards, and partnering with architects to define integration patterns. You will utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript alongside Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools. This role addresses the business problem of transforming risk management by building data-driven tools that automatically detect issues and prevent risks before they impact the business.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions for regulatory needs.
Develop and deploy robust cloud-based solutions using Java, Python, Go, and other full-stack technologies.
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams to set standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
Identify areas for improvement by implementing targeted refactoring to reduce technical debt and enhance performance.
Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a "you build it, you own it" environment.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and drive professional development within technical teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala (preferred).
3+ years of experience with database and database management systems (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based productivity tools or virtualization technologies (preferred).
4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks (preferred).
