As a Forescout Engineer, you will join an expert team focused on implementing and operating next-generation security solutions for government and commercial clients. You will perform hands-on evaluation, implementation, and operation of cyber defense tools to protect data and networks from malicious payloads. Your daily responsibilities include managing infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, performing risk and vulnerability assessments across network and system areas, and utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats. Deploy and maintain ForeScout CounterACT appliances in multi-domain environments.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas.
Analyze big data and security events to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
Configure and manage network components including switches, firewalls, and Active Directory services.
Provide Tier II IT operations support, including ticket resolution and issue remediation.
Integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise tools like Splunk for analysis.
Communicate complex security technicalities to diverse audiences including senior management.
What we're looking for
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
5+ years of experience performing systems administration for Windows or Linux.
Experience with the deployment or daily maintenance of ForeScout CounterACT appliances.
Experience with network engineering, including configuration of switches, LANs, VLANs, firewalls, and Active Directory.
Knowledge of multi-domain architectures in virtualized environments.
Education and experience must meet specific thresholds: HS/GED with 7+ years, Associate's with 5+ years, Bachelor's with 3+ years, or Master's with 1+ year.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification (e.g., SecurityX, CASP+, CISA, CISSP) within 30 days of start date.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP-IS Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND) prior to start date.
