As a Forescout Engineer, you will join an expert team focused on implementing and operating next-generation security solutions for government and commercial clients. You will lead a team to engineer solutions for complex challenges while performing hands-on evaluation, implementation, and operation of cyber defense tools across large, complex networks. Your daily responsibilities include managing infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments in network and system areas, and utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. You will utilize technologies including ForeScout CounterACT appliances, Active Directory, and Splunk while navigating multidomain architectures involving WAN, LAN, and virtualized environments. The role requires expertise in network engineering, systems administration for Windows or Linux, and the development of network topologies to protect sensitive data from malicious payloads and actors.
Deploy and maintain ForeScout CounterACT appliances in multidomain customer environments.
Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas.
Utilize big data analytics and security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
Lead a team to engineer solutions for complex technical challenges using network engineering and Active Directory knowledge.
Design and document IP network topologies including physical and logical configurations.
Integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise tools like Splunk for aggregation and analysis.
Provide Tier II IT operations support, including ticket management and issue remediation.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience performing systems administration for Windows or Linux.
Experience with the deployment or daily maintenance of ForeScout CounterACT appliances.
Experience architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
Experience with network engineering, Active Directory, and system administration.
Knowledge of multidomain architectures in virtualized environments.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Associate’s degree with 10+ years experience, Bachelor’s with 8+ years, or Master’s with 6+ years supporting IT projects.
DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification (e.g., SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP) and ability to obtain a Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of start date.
Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, and risk management processes (preferred).
Ability to install ForeScout in multidomain environments and integrate data using tools like Splunk (preferred).
