Flight Sciences Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform aerodynamic design for fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid VTOL platforms at all design maturities.
• Conduct aerodynamic analysis of unmanned air vehicles using low and high order methods.
• Develop and maintain an in-house suite of aerodynamic analysis tools and CFD models.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation models to evaluate aircraft performance.
• Plan and execute flight tests and wind tunnel testing to gather and analyze aerodynamic data.
• Identify system bugs and performance trends by analyzing flight test data and technical reports.
• Validate simulation accuracy against real-world wind tunnel and flight test results.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience with airborne platforms.
• 4+ years of experience in aerodynamic design and analysis, flight simulation, and flight testing.
• 4+ years of experience in programming and data analysis using MATLAB, C++, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with CFD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent simulation platforms.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, stability, and control.
• US person status is required for access to export-controlled information.
• PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (preferred); C/C++ expertise and Simulink Embedded Coder experience (preferred).
