Finance Associate, Engineering

What you'll do

• Own development and production cost estimations for new products from concept through implementation.
• Translate complex engineering problems into quantitative measures and financial solutions.
• Build parametric cost models based on first principles like capability and physics.
• Develop and implement cost reduction roadmaps in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
• Create frameworks to establish transparency regarding material costs for current and future products.
• Build financial models to forecast product business case viability, risks, and opportunities.
• Red-team engineering plans from a financial and business perspective to evaluate trade-offs.
• Manage projects end-to-end by solving ambiguous problems and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• You must have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or value engineering at a high growth hardware company.
• You must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled information or facilities.
• You must have a strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
• You must possess a strong analytical aptitude and the ability to quantify complex, ambiguous problems.
• You must be able to quickly execute analyses in Excel.
• You must be comfortable communicating with large groups and senior leadership.
• You should have a basic understanding of engineering design in aerospace, software, maritime, or electronics.
• You should understand configuration management principles and how to structure Bill of Materials.
