What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain software for Equity, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset index calculation and delivery platforms.
  • Convert high-level architectural designs into detailed component designs and high-quality production code.
  • Automate the complete software lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
  • Refactor existing code to align with modern technology stacks and architectural patterns.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and provide technical responses to support client inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain ETL solutions and Object Relational Mapping (ORM) systems.
  • Build and maintain RESTful web services using HTTP-JSON or gRPC protocols.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues to identify root causes and ensure system reliability.

What we're looking for

  • B.S./MS (or equivalent) in a STEM subject area with 4 to 8 years of experience in Enterprise Software Development.
  • Strong experience with Java technology stack including Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, JBoss, Maven, Jenkins, and JUnit.
  • Strong development skills in Core and Enterprise Java using multi-threading and networking frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object Oriented Design Patterns.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux infrastructure and experience working in agile environments with Git, JIRA, ADO, and Azure Pipelines.
  • Python experience with numerical, statistics, or ML packages is desirable.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL solutions, RESTful Webservices, cloud native development (Azure), and distributed computing technologies is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the investment ecosystem, financial data providers, and index products is preferred.
