Executive Director, Solution & AI Engineering

What you'll do

• Define and drive the long-term technical vision and roadmap for solution and AI engineering aligned with business goals.
• Advise executive leadership on AI strategy, architecture standards, and emerging technology opportunities.
• Build, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary organization of solution engineers, AI engineers, and engineering managers.
• Establish governance, design review processes, and standards for scalable, secure, and cost-efficient technical solutions.
• Direct the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions, including generative AI and model governance.
• Evaluate and select technology platforms, tools, and vendors in partnership with procurement teams.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation across the portfolio of engineering programs.
• Translate complex business objectives into scalable, maintainable technical roadmaps for multiple lines of business.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of progressive experience in technology roles, including solution architecture and/or AI/ML engineering.
• 8+ years in people leadership roles, managing managers and building multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale architecture involving cloud, microservices, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems, including modern generative AI and LLM-based architectures.
• Track record of translating business strategy into technical roadmaps and executing at scale.
• Strong executive presence with experience presenting to senior leadership and/or boards.
• Experience leading large-scale, globally distributed teams while ensuring the stability of production operations.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in an enterprise environment (preferred).
• Background working with software development vendors as delivery partners including SOW management and performance accountability (preferred).
