Environmental Test Engineer, Space Simulation Lab

What you'll do

• Manage the configuration, maintenance, calibration, and improvement of a specific class of environmental test equipment.
• Lead technical troubleshooting from initial response through root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors for equipment service, spares, upgrades, and escalations.
• Establish standardized test processes and work instructions to enable technician operation with minimal supervision.
• Train and mentor technicians on equipment operation while maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Analyze test data to validate procedures and lead projects that increase throughput and first-pass yield.
• Triage errors in LabVIEW and Python code to diagnose hardware, software, or tuning issues.
• Apply knowledge of control loops to diagnose behavior in thermal, vacuum, pressure, and shaker systems.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in consumer electronics lab environments.
• Experience in software QA testing including writing test plans, use cases, and issue reports.
• Experience in a Linux or Unix environment.
• Experience working on a consumer hardware or software product.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and testing software updates (preferred).
