The Engineering Program Manager, Apple Foundation Models, Engineering Tools joins the Apple Foundation Models team to work with machine learning and software engineering. This role focuses on developing tools to accelerate machine learning model development and evaluation. You will drive cross-functional programs, leading projects through the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery. Key responsibilities include managing multiple complex work streams, building collaborative relationships, and communicating status and risks clearly. What we're looking for
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in project or program management leading cross-functional software engineering teams.
Solid understanding of system architecture, design trade-offs, and testing, build, and release processes for complex software or machine learning models.
Proven ability to lead, influence, and resolve conflicts within large, complex teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation.
Prior experience in hands-on software development (preferred).
Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to foster trust across different teams (preferred).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly understand technical concepts (preferred).
