Engineering Manager, Cloudflare Network Interconnect

What you'll do

• Hire, mentor, and coach a distributed team of software engineers to support their professional growth.
• Shape the team's technical vision and culture while managing its roadmap in coordination with product leaders.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to design decisions for network infrastructure systems.
• Manage production services by organizing on-call rotations and overseeing incident response and customer escalations.
• Drive reliability and automation improvements across all team systems and services.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and partner teams to execute cross-functional initiatives.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager for a team of Software and Systems Engineers (preferred).
• Proven track record in hiring, onboarding, and professional development of engineering teams (preferred).
• Technical background in IP networking including BGP, Layer 3 routing, and physical/virtual interconnect technologies (preferred).
• Experience building or operating provisioning and automation systems for network infrastructure (preferred).
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging distributed systems (preferred).
• Experience managing on-call rotations for production services with direct customer impact (preferred).
• Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools and systems into daily workflows (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
