What you'll do
- Coordinate and manage site-specific engineering projects, including identifying and recommending capital equipment purchases.
- Act as a Sourcing Partner to execute capital equipment purchases following corporate policies and procedures.
- Manage the procurement process by obtaining bids, negotiating terms, and preparing Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents.
- Monitor project spending against budgets and provide financial analysis and forecasting to project managers.
- Oversee supplier activities, including monitoring performance, managing contract terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Serve as a technical and statistical resource to identify equipment that meets internal customer requirements.
- Provide training on engineering systems and offer guidance to junior team members or contract workers.
What we're looking for
- High School Diploma and six years of experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, facilities, laboratory, or plant projects.
- Associate’s degree and four years of experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, facilities, laboratory, or plant projects.
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, facilities, laboratory, or plant projects (preferred).
- Familiarity with procurement, financial, engineering, or project management systems (preferred).
- Experience preparing estimates, project justifications, budget updates, or AFE documentation (preferred).
- Strong project management, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (preferred).
- Working knowledge of basic engineering principles, equipment specifications, and technical troubleshooting (preferred).
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by export control laws (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or protected status).
