What you'll do

  • Design and develop highly scalable distributed systems for Oracle Cloud Storage.
  • Build foundational services within the Core Storage, Metadata, or Web Service layers.
  • Solve complex infrastructure problems regarding data movement, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Design systems to manage massive datasets across multiple regions with low latency and high availability.
  • Improve platform efficiency through architectural enhancements, system refactoring, and operational simplification.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural leadership.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the technical direction of the organization.
  • Develop storage infrastructure specifically optimized for AI and agentic workloads.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience is required in designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
  • A strong infrastructure engineering background working close to the underlying technology stack is required.
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, Go, Rust, or similar systems programming languages is required.
  • Experience building highly available, fault-tolerant services at cloud scale is required.
  • Experience working in public cloud environments such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
  • Knowledge of caching strategies, throttling, recovery mechanisms, and storage performance optimization is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred (an advanced degree is also a plus).
