EMC Test Engineer, Air Dominance and Strike

What you'll do

• Lead and execute EMI/EMC testing and comprehensive analysis on complex electronic systems and components.
• Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and rigorous qualification activities for defense applications.
• Implement advanced design strategies to proactively mitigate and resolve EMI/EMC issues at their root.
• Author and maintain comprehensive test plans, detailed reports, and essential documentation for compliance verification.
• Identify program-specific EMI/EMC risks and define robust mitigation approaches using modeling, simulation, or experimental activities.
• Conduct critical field tests and assessments to evaluate product performance in real-world operational environments.
• Ensure all EMC requirements are integrated into product designs from the initial inception phase.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in EMI/EMC design and testing within military, aerospace, or avionics sectors.
• Expertise in EMI/EMC standards including MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, RTCA DO-160, and SAE.
• Deep expertise in E3 design principles, including HERO, HEMP, Lightning Protection, ESD, and RF exposure limits.
• Expert proficiency in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISNs, and anechoic chambers.
• Experience with advanced simulation tools such as ANSYS and CST Microwave Studio for EMI analysis.
• Full understanding of PCB layout techniques and ability to interpret complex schematics for defense systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
