EMC Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Review mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
• Review PCB schematics and layouts to control emissions and immunity.
• Partner with vendors to define component specifications and system-level validation procedures.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans and supervise the execution of test reports.
• Define validation requirements and train test engineers on data collection at factories and labs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical causes of EMC failures to identify cross-functional solutions.
• Analyze data from multiple designs and recommend design changes to peers and management.

What we're looking for

• BSEE or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience and/or advanced education in EMC.
• Prior experience and/or education in EMC, ESD, RF, and signal integrity areas.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with other engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing and able to support occasional international travel.
• MSEE / PhD with a specialization in electromagnetic fields and/or applications (preferred).
• Experience with electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, and ADS (preferred).
