EMC Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Review mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
• Review PCB schematics and layouts to control emissions and immunity.
• Define component specifications and validation procedures with vendors to meet system-level requirements.
• Prepare and supervise the execution of comprehensive EMC test plans and reports.
• Define validation requirements and train test engineers on data collection at factories and labs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical causes of EMC failures to identify cross-functional solutions.
• Analyze data from multiple designs to recommend specific design changes to management.

What we're looking for

• BSEE or equivalent experience in electromagnetic fields and/or applications.
• 7+ years of deep subject-matter expertise in EMC, ESD, RF, and/or signal integrity areas.
• Proficiency in schematic and layout review of PCBs for emissions and immunity control.
• Ability to perform CAD review of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with other engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to partner with EMC Test Engineers to develop test plans, coordinate testing, and generate certification reports.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing and able to support occasional international travel to Apple sites, vendors, and contract manufacturers.
