What you'll do

Design, implement, and test embedded software functions in C, C++, or Rust.
Develop software for Linux or real-time operating system (RTOS) environments.
Write code to interface with hardware using I2C, I3C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, and Ethernet.
Manage satellite functions including mode management, telemetry, power control, and autonomous capabilities.
Ensure high reliability and availability of software for the Satellite Communication Systems Payload.
Coordinate with hardware teams to perform setup, verification, integration, and testing.
Execute all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements through operations.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience focusing on patterns, reliability, and scaling.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Experience developing embedded software in Linux or real-time operating system (RTOS) environments.
Experience writing software for hardware interfaces using I2C, I3C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, and Ethernet.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, reviews, source control, and testing (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
