As a Wireless Embedded Physical Layer Data Path Signal Processing Firmware Engineer at the senior level within a silicon design group, you will play a pivotal role in developing embedded 4G/5G/6G multimode cellular firmware for powerful cellular SoCs. Your daily tasks include implementing physical layer algorithms on digital/vector signal processors with strict constraints and interfacing with specialized cellular ASIC hardware to execute 3GPP channels and procedures such as PDCCH, PDSCH, PBCH, PUCCH, PUSCH, PRACH UL/DL HARQ. You will work closely with systems engineers to optimize firmware for efficient execution, design fixed-point firmware, and validate bit-exactness. Additionally, you will develop pre-silicon emulation systems, evaluate cutting-edge tools for verification, and define methodologies for standard processes. The ideal candidate has experience in digital signal processing or wireless physical layer channels, a deep understanding of software engineering principles, and some scripting skills with Python. Familiarity with 3GPP cellular standards, digital/wireless communications, and machine learning concepts is preferred.

What you'll do

  • Implement cellular physical layer algorithms on digital/vector signal processors for 4G/5G/6G multimode firmware.
  • Interface with specialized cellular ASIC hardware to implement 3GPP channels and procedures like PDCCH, PDSCH, PBCH.
  • Work with systems engineers to refine signal processing algorithms for efficient firmware/hardware execution.
  • Specify, design, and implement the firmware architecture for optimal power, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Analyze and implement fixed-point firmware, ensuring bit-exactness to algorithmic reference standards.

What we're looking for

  • Experience implementing digital signal processing algorithms on specialized hardware.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and computer science fundamentals.
