Electrical Test Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop test strategies, architectures, and test plans for new electronic products.
• Design electrical test hardware, interface boards, signal conditioning circuits, and fixtures.
• Select and integrate instrumentation including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and RF equipment.
• Develop automated test software using TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, C/C#, and Linux scripting.
• Implement communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, USB, SPI, I²C, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
• Integrate MES, traceability, and manufacturing data collection requirements into test systems.
• Support tester bring-up, debugging, validation, and production ramp activities.
• Lead DFT reviews and provide technical leadership for test development projects.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience developing automated functional test systems for electronic products.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading test development projects from concept through production launch.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Experience designing test hardware, interface circuits, fixtures, and custom PCBs.
• Proficiency with NI TestStand and at least one programming language such as Python, C, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with ATE, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, technical requirements, and communication protocols.
• NI LabVIEW experience (preferred).
• Manufacturing test data collection and MES integration experience (preferred).
• Experience with environmental chambers, leak testing, and high-volume manufacturing (preferred).
• Design for Testability (DFT) experience (preferred).
• RF test and measurement experience (preferred).
• PCB schematic capture and layout experience using OrCAD, Allegro, or similar (preferred).
