TL;DR · Electrical Hardware & AI Integration Engineer

The Electrical Hardware & AI Integration Engineer joins the GTO team to serve as a technical bridge between IT infrastructure and design engineering business units. This role involves translating complex hardware requirements into scalable solutions while leveraging emerging AI technologies to automate circuit analysis, component modeling, and signal integrity data analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing Worst Case Circuit Analysis for automotive and aerospace-grade hardware, designing mixed-signal boards, and conducting board bring-up using programmable PNAs and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes. The candidate will develop embedded firmware and manage power electronics projects involving buck, boost, and flyback converters. Required technical skills include proficiency in Cadence PSpice, Altium Designer, LTSpice, KiCad, Python, C/C++, and Matlab. The role addresses critical challenges in power integrity, high-speed digital systems, and safety-critical components like Brake System Plausibility Devices.

What you'll do

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between GTO and design engineering teams to translate hardware requirements into IT solutions.
  • Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and sensitivity analysis for automotive and aerospace-grade hardware.
  • Implement AI tools to automate repetitive tasks like component modeling and signal integrity data analysis.
  • Support mixed-signal hardware development including schematic design, component selection, and multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Execute board bring-up and validation for high-speed digital systems using oscilloscopes and programmable PNAs.
  • Develop and tune embedded firmware in C/C++ or Python for closed-loop control and power regulation.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Mastery of design tools including Cadence PSpice, Altium Designer, LTSpice, and KiCad.
  • Strong foundations in Python, C/C++, and Matlab programming.
  • Deep understanding of Power/Signal Integrity, FMEA, and communication protocols like SPI, UART, and CAN.
  • Proven track record handling satellite communications, power converters, or high-speed digital systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams or professional organizations such as IEEE or FSAE-Electric.
  • Experience with Power Electronics (Buck, Boost, Flyback) and semiconductor device characterization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems like Brake System Plausibility Devices (preferred).
