As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join a team focused on designing and developing electrical systems to integrate electronic equipment onto military and commercial aircraft as well as ground stations. Your daily responsibilities involve creating system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools while coordinating design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to ensure requirements are met at minimum cost. You will work on diverse projects including Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, and load shedding schemes, while supporting the testing and integration of systems on aircraft platforms. The role requires a relevant technical degree and utilizes CAD tools, PLM software such as NX and Teamcenter, and Siemens Capital software to solve complex electrical engineering challenges in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Design and develop electrical systems for aircraft and ground station equipment integration.
Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
Prepare engineering drawings and coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams.
Ensure all designs meet technical requirements while minimizing production costs.
Develop avionics systems, RF, LAN, and data processing components.
Perform electrical load analysis and develop load shedding schemes.
Support the testing and integration of electrical systems on aircraft platforms.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
Ability to obtain a security clearance (limited to U.S. citizens).
Skills and knowledge of CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter (preferred).
Knowledge of Siemens Capital software (preferred).
