EDA License Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage the full lifecycle of FlexLM/FLEXnet license servers in Linux environments, including installs, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve license availability, checkout, and performance issues using debug logs and telemetry.
• Ensure license compliance, access control, and export-restricted usage policies with infrastructure and security teams.
• Improve infrastructure reliability and observability through automation, monitoring, and data analysis of usage trends.
• Lead projects to improve licensing workflows, tooling, and operational scalability.
• Create and maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and guidelines for team knowledge sharing.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for license-related incidents and blocking issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with FlexLM / FLEXnet licensing, including server configuration, license files, daemons, and troubleshooting.
• Solid Linux system administration skills (RHEL/CentOS), including process management, logging, networking basics, and scripting.
• Experience operating production infrastructure with high availability and reliability expectations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Experience automating operational workflows using scripting (python or shell) or infrastructure tooling such as Ansible (preferred).
• Export-control, or access-restriction requirements in shared compute environments.
