Dynamics Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Operate test consoles to conduct vibration and acoustic testing for satellites and subsystems.
• Develop detailed work instructions for technicians to set up and execute environmental test operations.
• Analyze post-test data and write reports for any non-compliant or off-nominal events.
• Perform root cause analysis on failure events and implement corrective actions.
• Assess safe working conditions and author Job Hazard Analyses for laboratory work areas.
• Improve the efficiency of environmental test processes to transition products from development to production.
• Establish production processes for 5S, FOD control, tool management, and calibration procedures.
• Automate testing actions and simplify work procedures to enable production test autonomy.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with vibration, shock, and acoustic testing per MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016, or MIL-STD-1540.
• 2+ years of experience working with Data Acquisition systems.
• Familiarity with the installation of test instrumentation.
• Experience running force limited vibration testing (preferred).
• Experience running Direct Field Acoustic Testing (preferred).
• Experience creating automated scripts in Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, or similar (preferred).
