DVT Engineer, Amazon Leo Government
The DVT Engineer joins the Amazon Leo Government team to support the delivery of secure satellite broadband services for United States and allied government customers. This role focuses on satellite and ground system design, specifically performing design verification for electronics sub-systems including compute, storage, and data transfer. Day-to-day responsibilities involve leading tasks such as circuit validation, board bring-up, and test plan documentation for space hardware. The engineer must verify complex circuits involving Analog Power, Digital Design, Mixed-Signal ADC/DAC, RF, Processors, FPGA, MCU, SoC, Memory, and Transceivers. Required skills include proficiency with digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and network analyzers. Candidates must conduct trades and analyses to ensure solutions meet customer goals while providing technically compelling reports for design reviews and proposals.
Translate customer technical requirements into robust solutions backed by data and analysis.
Verify electrical circuit designs for digital and analog power, RF payloads, and communication buses.
Validate electronic components including processors, FPGAs, MCUs, memory, and transceivers.
Perform and document test plans, procedures, and reports for DVT, QTP, and ATP.
Design and support test campaigns for space hardware development and qualification.
Conduct cost trades on parallel test configurations to balance manufacturability against test uncertainty.
Deliver technical reports and presentations for design reviews and proposal efforts.
Lead board bring-up, circuit validation, and component verification tasks.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
Experience with prototyping and implementation.
Strong technical background in verifying and validating electronic circuits including Analog Power, Digital Design, Mixed-Signal ADC/DAC, RF, Processors, FPGA, MCU, SoC, Memory, Transceivers, and Clock generation.
Strong background in electronics test equipment including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, and power meters.
Experience performing and documenting test plans, procedures, and reports for Design Verification (DVT), Qualification (QTP), and Acceptance Test (ATP).
Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools (preferred).
2+ years of electronics verification testing (preferred).
