Working within the Global Payment Network technology organization, you will lead through hands-on technical contributions to build mission-critical systems and infrastructure for complex domestic and international money movement. You will decompose complex problems into practical solutions, leverage agentic AI to accelerate modernized systems, and drive engineering excellence across core network products. Key responsibilities include optimizing high-throughput transaction processing, fraud mitigation, and participant integration. You must possess expertise in distributed systems, public cloud technologies, and coding in languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Swift. This role solves critical problems regarding high-volume, low-latency, and resilient distributed ecosystems while ensuring performance, scalability, and PCI-DSS standards.

What you'll do

Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for your domain to engineering teams and executive leadership.

Drive technical design quality by proactively identifying and removing technical debt and customer friction.

Mentor the engineering and product community to strengthen their technical expertise and skills.
Engineer solutions for high-throughput transaction processing and advanced fraud and risk mitigation.

What we're looking for

At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 5 years of experience designing distributed systems.
At least 5 years of experience with public cloud technologies.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Design (preferred).
10+ years of professional experience coding in commonly used languages such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript (preferred).
8+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development (preferred).
7+ years of experience with systems meeting high performance and resiliency requirements (preferred).
7+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies (preferred).
Experience with payments, money movement, and related standards like PCI-DSS (preferred).
Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity (preferred).
